I swear this page has been written and rewritten a thousand times!
You see, I used to focus on one dietary style that I thought was meant for everyone and I believed that it was through that “perfect diet” alone that people would heal. If you didn’t follow it, you were condemned to poor health forever. Now things have evolved in my mind (and practice) as my beliefs about the optimal diets have progressed.
Why? Because I have evolved SO much. When I started my practice I was young, naïve and dogmatic. My way to see the world, when it came to food and lifestyle, was Black or White, and Grey wasn’t even an option. But things have transformed in almost six years (and counting).
Why? (I love how amazing your questions are!) Because I learned more. I studied more and, most importantly, I went through more as a coach, mother and woman.
Let’s just say that I have ditched the dogma and embraced bio-individuality full on. The reality is that YOU are your own expert. My role as your Coach is to guide you and empower you, so you can reclaim your sense of wellness and joy and rediscover how you nourish your body, mind and soul.
Thus, from a dietary perspective, I don’t dwell on calories, nutritional facts, fad diets or magic solutions. I don’t even believe in trying to control or limit my clients’ choices of food with labels like good or bad, let alone adding those labels to themselves depending on their selections. Also, weight loss or gain isn’t my “thing” either.
I’m all about finding the foods that make you feel AMAZING sustainably, the movement and rest that support your body’s awesomeness, and the resources to get your mind dreaming and your heart achieving. That’s it.
Having said that, my preferred dietary style is Real Food – Paleo and I have found that, what works best for me and many of my clients (but NOT ALL) is a ketogenic approach, adding some good old Intermittent Fasting to the formula. But, as I said before, you will tell me what works as we try and test options.
Now I work to empower people to make the dietary changes that best work for their needs, taking into consideration their goals, lifestyles and unique requirements, so that together we can work in creating a happy, healthy nourishment style that is sustainable, fun and rewarding.
(Notice how I say nourishment style and not diet, as the whole focus isn’t in restriction but on inclusion, self-care and self-awareness).
Nonetheless, when it comes to wellness, my work with you doesn’t stop with what you put on your plate. In fact, most of the times, food is the last issue we cover together! (Normally over our cooking classes or fun trips to supermarkets). Instead, we work on a full-on 360 method to tackle all the areas that bring nourishment to you, whether that’s stress or time management, emotional balance and sleep or finding and supporting your life purpose.
You see, after all the paths I have taken on my journey towards joyful womanhood, motherhood and wellness (you can get the scoop here), I realized that the key (or I should say MY key) was to have a balanced and all-inclusive attitude to them. And so, my Holistic Nourishment Method was born.
What does this mean for you? First of all that we’ll have a blast together! That’s right, I KNOW we will, because we will talk about everything and anything that can bring joy and spark into your life, from how you sleep and move to what do you LOVE doing. Basically, if it brings happiness and joy to you, we’ll cover it!
Also, I look at how all areas of your life are connected, interacting with each other and affecting one another almost like cheerleaders or dancers on their choreographies (think Bring It On meets High School Musical meets Fame meets Beyoncé’s Formation video).
The same happens when it comes to your amazing, awesome, sexy, powerful and strong body. I see it as a whole, catching patterns and details that can be related, asking question, listening to symptoms and testing theories to bring you back to optimal health. Because the reality is that we are not separate systems but one body, doing many things at once.
Does stress at your job or in your relationships cause you to overeat?
Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from moving, as you would like to?
Is there a nutritional deficiency that affects your weight and sense of wellbeing?
Is there a food intolerance that is causing you to feel sluggish, bloated or in pain?

This is all that we tackle!
